Stainless steel 304 wire rope 7X7 is resistant against water and humidity but would be stained when exposed to salt water, sea water and acids. Stainless steel 304 wire rope 7X7 can be mildly attracted to magnetic fields.

7X7 316 stainless steel wire rope is in fact the most required structure and grade of stainless steel wire rope. Grade 316 of stainless steel that has not only 18% of Chrome and 8% of Nickle in composition but also 2% of the highly active metal known as Mo which is also a valuable metallic element. existence of Mo helps stainless steel wire rope better resist environmental corrosive substances and more specifically Chlorides. further more, G316 of stainless steel wire rope has almost no magnetic interest that is the main reason to be used in some industries.
